You can't learn how to use a piece of software from a book. Or from a lecture. Or from taking a class where you sit in a lab and have a professor tell you to "click on this, ok, now click on that." You also can't learn how to use a program from watching video tutorials. Maybe that's why these are free, you think.
The way to learn how to use a program is to teach yourself. It's the only way that works in a meaningful, consistent way.
Sure, these videos are designed to teach a few programs to you. But more than that, they are designed to teach you how to learn software. It's not that all software is that same (oh, how I wish it was...). It's that the methodology, the way to approach decrypting a programs interface, is consistent no matter what kind of program it it.
As you go through these, you'll notice that they are different. They are unscripted. I make mistakes (some real, some not). I forget where some things are. The computer crashes a few times. I take you through the process of how to figure your way out of a problem. If you get that down (and if you watch all of these, you probably will), then you'll be in a good place to focus on really mastering the ones you like, or going out and learning a totally different applicaiton.
Good luck, and enjoy!
